Please click here for online payment (via the University of Oxford payment system, you will need to register from this page to make the payment). Please email eelt @ astro.ox.ac.uk if you have any problems with the online payment.

Workshop Timings and Program

The workshop will run from Wednesday 13th January at 11 am (with coffee, meeting start at 11:30), until 4pm on Friday 15th January. The preliminary program is available here (subject to change).

We would like to emphasise to contributors that the presentations should be geared towards expectations with the E-ELT and its instrumentation suite, rather than current results.

In particular, the SOC woud like to bring the ESO science web pages to your attention, from which you can retrieve information regarding the science case from the science working group, the simulations carried out under the Design Reference Mission, the E-ELT Exposure time estimators (Imaging ETC and the Spectroscopic ETC), and projects suggested by the ESO community via the Design Reference Science Plan.

Venue

The workshop will be held in the Lecture Theatre at the Royal Astronomical Society,
Burlington House,
Piccadilly,
London W1J 0BQ
United Kingdom.
Directions to the venue can be found on the RAS website.

Accommodation

We have tried very hard to secure a reasonable rates at nearby hotels for the workshop. However, due to the competetive hotel room market in London, it will be much cheaper for you to book the rooms on an individual basis rather than through a block booking. Since January is not a very busy time in London it should be relatively straightforward to book hotels through standard hotel booking search engines or directly with nearby hotels or hotel chains.
